I downloaded the trailer yesterday (720p). Yeah, looks a little CGI'ish, but looks like a lot of fun none the less. Hopefully, this will fill seats well through the end of June. And I doubt the effects have been properly rendered and tweaked at this point. If you go to the website and look at the other production videos, it look's like Speilberg shot on HD CAM and not film. Hey, the price is right.

I for one, can't wait to see it.

I agree that 'The Adventure Continues' is a bit lame and has been used countless times.

How about: 'The Adventurer Continues'? That's a bit more like it.

Also, I hate the generic-every-trailer-you-see music at the start. Bleccchhh...

The line itself wasn't bad it's just that it didn't fit in with all the previous lines displayed on the screen. All the stuff before it weren't focusing on some "adventure" but were simply listing things that Indy did (like saying "He did [this]" and "He did [that]." Since it focused on the character, the final line should've been something like "And he's back for another adventure."

There's some internet hubbub about the fact that the US version was censored.

They apparently used bad CG to remove some of the guns pointing at Indy and Ray Winstone. As a result, Ray's belt buckle wobbles strangely in one shot. You can also see a soldier appear out of thin air at 0:59. There are screen shots and a link to the unaltered Int'l version at Ain't It Cool.

I thought Indy's whip-swing attempt into one jeep and crash landing into another felt more like the hammy slapstick from Last Crusade than the gritty action of Raiders.

I'd rather see a Raiders re-release than this one, personally.

According to sources at Panavision, it was shot in 35mm. And in anamorphic, no less (Spielberg's first in 17 years).

Spielberg loves flat. LOVES it. Wants to marry it. But George made him shoot the Indy movies in scope. For once (or four times, rather), Lucas shows Spielberg how it's gonna be, or else.

Indy was not only shot on film it was EDITED on film too. It appears that Steven likes doing it the old way and has the clout to do it too (as it also requires more manpower that digital editing).

I can't speak for the trailer released to the theatres, but I just re-checked the download from the official site, and the guns are all over the place.

Michael, you are correct, just went through the production footage and noticed the cans on the crane cam. Thanks.

Yeah, there are definitely guns all over the place in the US version... making the removal of some of them seem very weird.

And if you view the trailer from the official site, watch Ray Winstone's belt buckle and pants in that scene. It looks like his crotch just finished up some sort of T-1000 shape-shifting.

The Indiana trailer arrived today here...they are with shotguns.

I have to say I really don't like the trailer...the mix is nasty (too soft to begin...too loud to end) but DAMN! Harrison really is Indiana.

Also, Marion is in one shot...almost unrecognisable it's so fast. Bad move. She's a big selling point. Hopefully they'll have a regular trailer that Spielberg himself makes...instead of whoever Paramount got to make this for not much money. Hey! It's Indiana...how about a voice-over for goodness sake?
