Hey Josh,

I remember watching one of Switchfoots first music video back around '98 or '99. At that moment I've always been a fan. I'd say "The Beautiful LetDown" & "Learning to Breath" are my favorite albums.

I started out with "New Way To Be Human" as my first Switchfoot album. I think that their music has only gotten better over time. I like the more guitar heavy feel they put into it. I even have "Stars" and "Meant To Live" ringtones on my cell phone. [Big Grin]

Many bands seem to veer off at some point and their music takes a bad direction. Pearl Jam comes to mind here. I was hooked on them when "Ten" came out, but it quickly went bland after "Yield" was released.

As much as I enjoy The Police, I didn't like Sting's solo stuff anywhere near as much. The only album of his that I own is the Brand New Day CD, but I only bought that for the DTS 5.1 thing.

Agreed there. The Police is a good band; but Sting's solo stuff is too self-important for my taste. (His first solo album "Dream of the Blue Turtles" excepted; there's some really good stuff on it.)

...also "Nothing Like the Sun" with the tune "Fragile"..a fun guitar rift to play. Tons of good songs on this album as well. "Soul Cages" fared out on the decent side. "Ten Summoner's Tales" sorta begin to thin some, but still had a few good tunes in this album...then "Mercury Rising" wasn't the greatest.

His other two band members, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland sorta tried it out on their own, esp Stewart diviled into the NewAge/ambient scene of it all ... came out with one good album, but now forgotten the title...

But two bands that are classic rock for me - "RUSH" and "the WHO"

...and the Moody Blues..especially their seven landmark albums that made them a household name..

True that. She is far more talented than Stevie Nicks. Stevie had the sultry look and voice that helped her remain successful, but Christine is my favorite. (And this coming from someone born in '81)
Fleetwood Mac would have to be my favorite.

Thankfully no one has mentioned Pearl Jam or U2. I fail to see why either of these bands are so popular.

I do not 'live for' any band.

Favorites in the past: Rush, Foo Fighters, Tool, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Mars Volta, Pink Floyd, Boston, and A Perfect Circle.

I am currently shopping around for a new band to like... I guess I am always looking around for new music to listen to.

Well, that's fitting since Manson had breasts at one point in his life... [Roll Eyes]

I like the music of The Police, but I don't like Sting's singing. It irritates me. My parents love him/them though.
