Judas Priest is just pure hard thrashing metal, not for the faint of heart. I happend one day to actually meet the band. It was an act of contrition on thier part to avoid a law suit, and I took it for what it was worth. I suffered an injury at their concert. The first part came when I was smashed from behind by a beer bottle. It was GA and I was at the front. After passing out, my brother who was with me did his best to keep me propped up to avoid me getting trampled. He finally got security's attention but they ignored him. He managed to get the guy to the other side of me to help my brother push me over the retaining wall where security finally helped me. But security thought I was drunk, and left me there for nearly fourty minutes while my head was bleeding. I was out this whole time mind you. The EMT's were finally called when they saw the blood pool and I was whisked away to University of Utah Hospital. The band was informed of what was going on and after the show came up to visit me in my room with my brother and the guy who helped me over the wall. They didn't ask for me to not sue them, but I knew they never would have intended that and they paid for all of the hospital bills. And they signed my head dressing! Which was really too bad because they changed it two hours later. Ciao  |  IP: Logged Gracia L. My favorite band, is Queen. Like Allison, I really started getting into their music in the early 90's - roughly when I was in 8th grade. I too have quite an assortment of discs, posters, and vinyl. My mom and I even drove to NJ to see Queen + Paul Rodgers. Sure, I was a little apprehensive - but it turned out to be one hell of a show. Paul didn't try to "be Freddie" - which is why it worked as well as it did. Tori Amos is another artist I really dig. Yeah, I have pretty much her entire catalog on disc - and have seen her in concert four times. She too puts on one hell of a show. Dead Can Dance is fairly well represented in my cd collection too - and someday, I'd really like to see them live! I also, kinda sorta, live with a band... at least partially. Grüvenwood! If you had a chance to catch it, most especially in HD, it was one hell of a performance. I forget the dude's name, but he was the singer for Bad Company was the singer for Queen, and they were using not just their own drummer, but two others as well. Yep, count em' up, three drum kits going at it. All three drummers used different types of kits and as a result were using different styles. I know they probably won't go that way, but if you had a chance to catch it, it was really memorable and a great tribute to Freddie as it was intended to be. ciao  |  IP: Logged
