Being young then was awesome. Being young now is ... well ... doesn't look too awesome. (Although the casual attitude toward oral sex among the kids would've been nice back in the day.) Plus the music was better. I personally think that it is Porcupine Tree's best. Our parents hated our music, just like their parents hated theirs, and we hate our kid's tunes. It all depends on your baseline. The immortal Judas Priest... After somthing like 80 years these guys are still 'living' their music, and I love the fact I don't have to grow up and get a new favorite band. Jazz is the basis for alot of todays music. Jazz artists I've been fortunate to be able to see.... These are truely 4 of the greatest musicians in the world. Lionel Hampton Ray Charles Dave Brubeck- Three times. Woody Herman- Twice Wish I had seen more but most of the really good old school performers are dead now. When I saw Lionel Hampton he was so old he had to be helped on stage... I would guess that he was 89 years old... definately well into his 80's... then after he got into position nothing could stop him and he went over 2 hours . Absolutely amazing! He died about 4 years later. Now its time to go put on one of his CD's.... Those that don't know who he is....
