Ok so getting into the specifics here, it turns out that the entire litter had feline panleukopenia. I got all of the particulars from the vet and notified the crazy cat lady we got Link and Marty from. Turns out not only did the mother cat die that stopped nursing them, but so did two of the littermates and another one is on his way down. So it is safe to say the mother cat was not vaccinated and had it and passed it down to her litter.

The only good news is that the vet said that cats who have this either die or they pop back with a vengeance to being super healthy from the medication, and Link shows every sign of being one of those cats that is super healthy. He has turned into a total spazz with energy and is eating like a horse. [Smile]

The vet also had some not-so-nice things to say about how this lady had something like 80 cats in her house, that it was too many cats in one location and all it takes is any one cat getting something contagious and then she is doing a disservice to every cat in her house when they get it. Essentially, her heart is in the right place, but she isn't using logic in deciding how many cats she should save. You can't save them all.

You have many animals. I wish it was legal to own a dolphin in Colorado. I may import one anyway and just keep mum about it.

I no longer have any animals. My pet dolphin "Flipper" croaked when my pet frog "Mr. F" got stuck in Flipper's gullet when he was looking for a snack. They both died 2 years ago in that incident.

I'm still not over the loss and cry everytime I think about it...

Took this picture of Tormé at the end of the summer.

I think he's finally done blowing his coat. He had a warm bath yesterday with a lot of brushing, I think I've gotten the bulk out.

It's a new year, so I thought I'd post some new photos of my pets. This is our newest addition to the family, Skippy. She's almost 5 months old, and insanely energetic and hyperactive.

 - -

This is Ike (with Skippy). He loves to be scratched and cuddled, and is happy to laze about in his hammock.

 - -

Finally, here is Pancake, my oldest lady at over 2 years. She is fat and happy, and still really energetic. In the second pic she's all poofed up because she's pissed at Skippy for being in her territory.

I love my little furry babies!

Recently I (being a cat person) caved and told my wife I would let her get a dog. She found this cute puppy on petfinder.com that was rescued from Guatamala. We picked her up the day after Thanksgiving. We've named her Ginger. She is a Chocolate Labrador and Husky. She's amazingly well behaved and cute as a button.

Phil - I accept that I am the pussy-whipped husband in every sense of the word - even our two pussy cats think so.. Though I have to bow to her awesomeness when I can approach her and say "Honey, I want to fly to Rockwall Texas and buy these giant projectors from this really nice man that will take up an entire room in our house!" and she agrees!!!

And yes Ginger has beautiful eyes. Actually, all three of our kids have blue eyes. I have to warn people on the street not to stare at her eyes or they will melt!

We got a new puppy yesterday, her name is Chloe. She is a Border Collie mix.

Wanda the kitty is not such a fan, she keeps hissing and follows the puppy around and lays down wherever the puppy was last sleeping, its kind of cute actually. =)

Here's some pictures of Chloe!
