She was truly *your* cat. Our pets are family members and they are hard to lose. Everytime I visited you, I got the same "reception" from Kitty as you mentioned that Josh got...but I still really liked her. There just wasn't a cat anywhere awesome enough to replace her, so using mathematics we were able to choose two kittens to make up for that lost Kitty goodness. Crash (born Aug 29th) is on the left because he has energy like a ferret, so much that when he goes running down the halls he crashes into the walls. The cat on the right (born Aug 30th from a different litter) is tentatively named Dolby, for no other reason than Chris thinks it is a cute sounding name. This is Crash taking a quick nap on my arm at the adoption place. (The lady at the adoption place kissed him on the forehead and got some lipstick on him.) Dolby decided to nap in Chris' crotch at the adoption center. Then once we get home Dolby jumps back into Chris' crotch for some playtime. Dolby likes the bed too. He is without doubt THE most human-loving cat ever. He will come charging from 50 feet away and run up your pants leg into your arms and then start purring like a car badly in need of a muffler as he cuddles in your arms. Crash being ferret-like has been running around playing non-stop, such that we can't seem to get any non-blurry shots of him. I managed to get this one of him playing around in the hamper though. The only time he is still is when he is sleeping or being held, but the camera has not been never close enough to get pictures. You said she had months left! I want a refund! Awesome new kittens, by the way!! Here are a couple of my Kitty shots: Aww, it looks like Kitty is playfully batting my shoe with her paw because she wuvs me! NOT THE CASE! This picture was taken with a flash so there isn't any motion blur. When you walk by Kitty, she jumps out and attacks your foot JUST BECAUSE YOU EXIST! Here's a more familiar picture. Kitty gives you a loving warning that nobody is welcome in HER house. EDIT: Here is kitty in action! Dude is doing fine. He loves to bathe Dolby and Chase, but he plays a little rough. The three of them sleep together all the time. Chase has turned out to be the super affectionate one. Dolby went from 1.5 to 2.5 pounds the first week. Unfortunately, Albert went to the big cat-box in the sky about a month ago after hanging around here for 12 years. RIP old friend! This is “Puss”, another former feline friend, stretched out on top of my Teletype 33ASR terminal. A constantly operating power supply kept the upper right corner of the machine (near his head) nice & warm making it a perfect comfy kitty spot, but you should have seen him jump every time a message started coming in! . It was a bit of a maintenance nightmare for me keeping cat-hair out of the TTY mechanism, but I didn’t have the heart to discourage him from sleeping up there. He looked so comfortable! (I've removed actual theater info to avoid possibly violating any restrictions on advertising on this website.) Unfortunately, Albert went to that big cat-box-in-the-sky about a month ago after putting up with me for 12 years. RIP, old friend! This is "Big Puss", another former feline friend, catching some kitty z's on top of my 33ASR Teleyype.
