But now she's really not happy since she has this thing on hear head because she wouldn't stop chewing at her stub and got it infected. She has also graduated from pills to shots. I had to put drops in his ears every day for a couple of weeks. It wasn't much fun till I figured out a few of the tricks. 1) Get a nice big bath towel. Wrap the cat up in it like a burrito. Kitty can't claw you if he can't move his feet. 2) Use said bath towel to play with the cat. Kitty will think it's fun time and won't try to hide. 3) Give the medicine as close to the same time(s) each day as you can. If it gets to be routine for the cat, things will go easier. 4) The cat will eventually learn that when you put that junk in his ears they stop itching so bad. He may not like getting the medicine in his ears but he knows the itch is worse. That said, that is a creepy shot ... and one ready-to-take-on-the-whole-damn-world attitude that cat has. I've known too many gentle, passive, laid-back cats in my time that I forget that they don't ALL appreciate being approached, petted, picked-up, held, loved, or any of those other insane, ludicrous things you actually do to your pet. Sagan, however, loves the camera. At least, he behaves, anyway. As much as he hated bathtime, he loved napping in the bathroom sink. I got tired of being nipped at while trimming my two cats' claws that I bought a "lampshade". Put on the lampshade and mummify the fuzzball in a bath towel and I can trim claws without getting bit or scratched, although the cat may squirm a bit. Brad--Sorry to read about Kitty's situation. My 11 year old cat Tabatha died this morning. She had hepatitis and her liver failed. Aside from being weak she didn't seem to be in pain. She was alert and active up to last night.
