Well, Brad, she probably just looks that way because you're stealing her soul with that crazy picture-box you've got pointed at her.
That said, that is a creepy shot ... and one ready-to-take-on-the-whole-damn-world attitude that cat has. I've known too many gentle, passive, laid-back cats in my time that I forget that they don't ALL appreciate being approached, petted, picked-up, held, loved, or any of those other insane, ludicrous things you actually do to your pet.
 Sagan, however, loves the camera. At least, he behaves, anyway.

 As much as he hated bathtime, he loved napping in the bathroom sink. Turning that faucet on is just too tempting.
