We suffered severed storm damage early Wednesday morning.
Damn. If any theater building could have been damaged in those storms early Wednesday morning it should have been the old Cache 8 building here in Lawton. It has been vacant for a long time.

We had some wind damage down here from the same storm line. A building under construction in downtown Lawton had its progress demolished by the winds. Some power poles were toppled and roofs damaged. At least this area received some much needed rain.

The adjuster said the winds had to have been in the 90-115mph range to cause the extent of the damage we suffered. There are photos I took of the damage on our Facebook page:

The National Weather Service should come and look at this. They like to check out extreme storm damage.

NOAA is interested in investigating any wind damage over 50mph, which this certainly was. Jeremy, you can make a report at the Norman, Oklahoma NOAA Storm Report page. (Note: This web address only applies to the Oklahoma area.)

From Japan Times:

TOKYO — England and cheese rolling, Finland and wife carrying, Ireland and camogie—to those peculiarly parochial, yet nonetheless impressive, sporting events we can now add the Japanese tradition of “shudan kodo,” or group mobilization.

Or, to put it more succinctly, “mingling”—at least that’s an accurate description of the highly choreographed and coordinated display of marching seen in this YouTube video of a public display at a Japanese college.

Japanese Shuudan Koudou a.k.a. "Mingling"

Whoever did that to that poor cat is a terrible human being. They should be reported for such abuse and made to be beaten by a yardstick themselves.

Oh, wait. It was Joe. Scratch that...he'd like it too much.
