But not Dolby Digital. Suckers! The resulting code can be saved on your computer in PNG format. Just open it in Photoshop or whatever to convert it to Film-Tech friendly GIF or JPEG. You can have lots of fun with this stuff. Make a QR code that has a web site link in it. Print it on its own and stick it on a wall somewhere. Curious people will need to see what it is. Otherwise I wouldn't have tried to scan it with my phone. Not sure if it was a malfunction of my phone or the QR code that Joe made, but that beep was annoying. I'm not going to retry it in case it does it again. My phone makes a tone beep when it has successfully scanned a code, but it just kept replaying that tone over and over.  |  IP: Logged Bobby Henderson "Ask me about Trajan." The app works better at scanning QR codes from printed materials. Scanning from computer screens is more tricky depending on the quality and type of the screen. I've seen people stick QR codes on LED-based "jumbotron" outdoor message centers. Good luck at scanning a code from one of those things. They make the auto-focus sensors in various kinds of cameras go a little crazy. Most phones don't have a manual focus setting with their built in cameras. I think a QR code is a pretty good thing to stick on the back of a business card. It's free, no ads and works like a charm. We should have a thread where all communication must be handled via QR codes. It also reads barcodes and gets online competitive pricing while in the store. My Droid X has been acting up a lot lately since the latest update. Sometimes it locks up and it almost always reboots itself when I shut it off. I have sat there and watched it turn on after fifteen minutes of being shut off. I will shut it off at night (since some dude in Cleveland has a similar phone number to mine and creepy people call at all hours of the night) and it will turn itself back on after I go to bed. My wife will nudge me at 3am because my phone is beeping and getting junk e-mails coming in from China since it is day time over there.
