It's basic computer knowledge territory. Use the computer's print screen function to copy the image on the computer screen to the clipboard. Open a pixel-based image editing application. Paste the contents of the clipboard into a new file. Crop or re-size down to the 800 pixel width limits of this forum and save the end result as a JPEG image. The camera shots of the computer screen look terrible. They're totally screwed up with moire. A bunch of the text is muddy -that could be caused by any number of things (a low resolution computer monitor, how the application displaying the ad is rendering it on screen, the zoom level in the application, etc.). In general, taking camera photos of ads should be a last resort when better methods are not available. Printed ads should be scanned with a flatbed scanner if possible. Electronic ads should be "acquired" using image downloads or screen grabs (or making stitched images from multiple screen grabs). Mike was having to take camera photos of his most recently submitted ads, but only because the microfilm reading machine's integrated printer was broken. He would have scanned the images otherwise. Nevertheless, his camera shots (fuzzy as they were) looked a little better than yours because he was taking photos of an analog display projecting a film strip. I wonder if all of the prints were SR and only a few theaters properly decoded the SR noise reduction, or if it was dual inventory (most likely) and if so, I wonder how many "A" equipped theaters got SR prints due to miscommunication during the booking process.
