I've not had any trouble ordering Dolby materials. As for Sony SDDS materials, well...I gave up on them a long time ago. Plus you have/had to pay for their stuff. The last order I made for SDDS materials it took almost a year for someone to finally tell me that they would be on back order indefinitely. Dude... they always have been in bed together! Sony has always had to license much technology from Dolby for Digital Sound. SDDS would not have been possible with out those Dolby licenses. Could you find out why after spending close to $20k on their equipment I can't get them to send out 4 stinking trailers? I have been disillusioned with the way Dolby has no longer included with their processors: Hard copy manuals (It would be nice to be able to have a reference on hand without having to break out the laptop, that and leaving a copy for the client); Test films (Cat 69 and pink were always included it seemed, and I think some of the first CP-500's included Cat 97 and 566); And copies of the trailers in flat and scope. Even the new shipping boxes don't seem to be as sturdy, but that is a minor quibble as long as the unit survives shipping. They simply aren't "Good ol' Dolby" any more.
