I installed 2 Irem and 1 Strong igniters for him and he is refusing to pay the parts bill of just over $2,700. The claims range from I quoted him a cheaper price to being able to get them at half price from some one else. Also claims that there is a core charge/refund for the Irem igniters and since I was offering to take them away he said that I was trying to rip him off. (I like the HV caps and to use the remove-able bases in antique radio reproductions.) When I mentioned that this could hurt him in getting service from anyone in the future he threatened to hit me with a $50,000 law suit. I asked how, if all I say is that he is not paying me for what I invoiced him for. I know this guy will need service sooner than later. I just don’t want to see anyone else burned or threatened like me. The theater is Movie Magic Cinema in Bangor Maine owned by Don Simpson. And for the record if he is out there. Uncle Sam does all the work for you. It helps if your (small) local postmaster is a buddy. Eventualy he scratched several prints and blamed it on other people when it was obviously him. But it wasn't long before they stopped letting him work with the projectors. than he was fired. Our policy is that we receive from the customer at least our cost for the products (not profit) to be able to prepay the supplier (except for one time with BACP!! he he he.. but Sam got his money after all) so we keep both our heads covered and clean. Probably because large company like WB and Village Roadshow do not pay enough money.
