Will be running it in Digital through next Tuesday. EDIT! STOP THE PRESSES! I checked this a couple of days ago and what I said above appeared to be true then, but Interstellar 5/70 is definitely gone now. With what Mark Lensenmayer noted at the "Inherent Vice" thread, that makes sense. in 70mm at the Egyptian tonight in Hollywood with Nolan in person! The presentation was good (focus uniform and dead-on), and the print was pristine except reels 2 and 3 where there were numerous thin scratches right in the middle of the screen. They were thin enough to only be distracting in the brightest scenes, fortunately, and once it cleared up the rest of the print was like new. I visited the booth afterwards and the projectionist admitted that the damage had happened there but they had no idea how. USA Registered: Aug 2004 posted 12-22-2014 12:08 AM                     Brad, It`s our 5th highest grossing for this weekend. as you know with the simplex 35/70 it`s hard to keep a print perfect. I`m at 136 passes as of tonight, still looks good on the screen. had to make a lot of adjustment to the projector head, so it run this thinner base film so it would have a steady picture ,there was some light scratches that came from the lab, called technicolor never did get an answer.you have to look hard to see them. I have 2 other great guys that work with me so there always somebody running it with experience. we stay with the print at all times ,i`m really surprised how well the time code holds up,i`m using 2 readers & 2 players, this is my first experience with 70 dts the last 70 i ran, was a 70 mag of far & away here at the willow in 1992.interstellar could land up being our longest running 70.you know of anybody that has any of these simplex 35/70 for parts.  |  IP: Logged Mark Lensenmayer Phenomenal Film Handler Posts: 1605 From: Upper Arlington, OH Registered: Sep 1999 posted 12-23-2014 02:39 PM                     Second runs are starting to be announced. 70mm print will be playing at the Wexner Center for the Arts (Columbus, OH) on March 6 & 7.  |  IP: Logged David J Hilsgen Expert Film Handler Posts: 192 From: SAUK RAPIDS,MN . The print isn't there yet, and so I don't know which one it is or what sort of shape it's in. It's still in very good shape. The print has has been plattered, but has been reassembled by a professional, with neat and firm tape splices, only the scribed lab cues and hardly any visible sparkle at the starts and ends.
