It's funny how taste buds get acclimated to certain things, based on our upbringing.
Frank, that must be a generational thing there, because I knew what seltzer water was when I lived there. Btw, have you tried an Ale-8? You should, next time you're in Lexington. Pick 'em up at any convenience store. (Note, however, central Kentuckians pronounce it: el-EIGHT.)
I just saw this cute li'l gal from Kentucky on YouTube, with a great, easy recipe for beer cheese... just like the original KY beer cheese (Allman's) from Hall's on the River. Allman's beer cheese history.
