Just so U all know I've had quite a few lately that have had worn drums exceeding what can be kept in alignment in the scanning path.... too much film weave The alumnium drum used is not exactly a really long life component! On average it would be at least another $300.00 to do a repair/exchange on a bad used reader. It might be best to have an understanding with the seller before hand in case of this problem. You never know what some moron will pay for something. There was a seller that had a DTS-6 posted for an outrageous amount of money a few months ago. I told him he wouldn't get half of what he was asking. He knew nothing about film equipment. Then about two weeks ago, I get this e-mail from the guy and he told me that he got even more than he was asking and that he was laughing all the way to the bank and he rubbed it in my face. I was eating crow. Only thing I can figure is that some buyer got caught in a bidding war or they thought it was worth a lot more than it was.  |  IP: Logged
