Now in theory if a package is too large to fit through the postbox/no body home/any other reason, they are supposed to take the package back to the sorting office and leave you a little note. It seems wy postman was a little more resourceful, (but a bit dumb). Here is the card I was left: No I don't know how the crime rate in Bradford compairs to other parts of the country but, - under a tree? In my front garden? With god knows how many people walking past the road? No bear in mind the post-man has no idea how valuable the package was. As luck would have it, it was a cheap DVD from Ebay - and it was still there when I got home. (which is a shame as I quite fancy the oportunity of going down to the post office to shout someone there " Under a f&$king Tree!!! Anyone want to venture a guess at how long they will be in there? I still keep waiting for the guy with the Iwerks system for $12,000 (ebay auction # 3825978580) to do something. I can't believe he has held out this long with that ebay store auction. I know of at least five systems... both Mega and Iwerks that the owners can't even give away. There are still tiny niche marlets in foreign countries that buy them however I doubt that will last for very long. I HATE it when crappy moron bidders like thefirstspackel keep bidding multiple times trying to see what your maximum bid is. For the love of L. Ron Hubbard just type in the maximum you are willing to pay, don't go in the smallest increments possible (eBay will do that for you)! If you are outbid after that, then ask yourself if you are really willing to pay more! God damn I hate stupid people. And no I am not bidding on this splicer, I just see this practice too often. People who do this deserve Hepatitus B in the ass, mouth and left ear for good measure. The only valid reason that I can see would be a lowball bid to kill the "buy it now" option if there's a chance that there may only be one or two bidders on the item. Otherwise, early bidders almost never actually "win" the auction and serve only to drive up the price. The "right" way to bid, of course, is to wait until the last minute or so of the auction and _then_ (and only then) bid the maximum amount that you will pay.
