I'll ask Jim what his throws are. He's told us they're pretty far out there. It might be interesting to know where he got his lenses. At our last drive-in owners' convention, Jim told us about the telescope he came up with to help get the focus trimmed. A picture of it is in that group of photos. The lamps are Strong Ultra-80s... and he's running them full-out at 7kW. As for how successful the place is: He has an answering machine there that can handle something like 36 lines. I have a brenkent 4 point base and an old QSC 6 bay amp lined up for it. That Coke machine is an 1960 model Cavalier Model 80. It needs a new compressor in which I will be installing one day. We also have 4 Coke Dispensers, and hundreds of bottles. Every time I buy a movie or part for my stuff I have to buy my wife something Anyway, thanks for the compliment.  |  IP: Logged Scott D. I noticed in the last picture how someone had stuck tape over the window in the shutter housing to stop the light escaping. I thought that was a good idea so I tried it tonight with our projector. hmmm Think I need to have a shower and wash my hair when I get home. As I was at Mountainfilm in Telluride and suffering a dial-up Internet connection. Thus I was never tempted to suffer a long download times to look at pictures of another theatre. I am back home in California for the summer. Brad, feel free to return to posting interesting pictures of other movie theatres untill I leave again in Late August.
