Alright, if you go to Phantom Coaches a second windo will pop up with a song playing in quicktime. Is there any way that I can get that to play on my myspace profile? My Profile Friend me up!

I didn't know anything about Myspace until it was mentioned in connection with a murder case in neighboring Lancaster County, Pa. It made national news when an 18 year old killed the disapproving parents of his 14 year old girlfriend, and the couple went on the lam. Both kids had pages on Myspace, and after the boyfriend was arrested, a bunch of people posted pictures of his arrest on his own page. Surreal.

I fail to see what makes myspace/livejournal/xanga/etc. any different from the standard personal home page that was the trendy thing a decade ago (and which some of us still have today). In both cases, you have the standard stuff such as "here's some boring crap about me, here are some pictures of me and my friends, and here are some links to web sites I like." Sure, the newer formats are a bit slicker, but the basic concept seems pretty much the same to me.

I agree with the overwhelming amount of glitter gifs and animations, and music, and video. BLAH.

But I digress. I too have succumb to the cult that is myspace.

He has one too, though he's gone in a slightly different direction. Though his page IS worth a look, if you're not easily offended by toilet humor.

Question, my kids love it, 12 and 14 years old, yet it seems to let in some nasty viruses. Anyone have a problem with MY SPACE and Spy Ware or Viruses?
