I wish the best of luck to you, John. I look forward to reading many more posts from you in the near future. You'll be in my thoughts. I know you will make it through the surgery. [Big Grin]

John, I'm happy you're feeling better. I know you have another nasty ordeal to go though and I wish you well.

Remember bub, I still need to kick your butt at cards! But, I don't care what you say, NO more Strip Poker! [Razz] [Wink]

Seriously John, I wish you all the best and my thoughts and prayers are with you and yours.

Sincerely,

>>> Phil

Prayers are always be with you .. - Monte

John,

I remember back in 1998 when I was preparing for my surgery to remove a tumor inside of my brain. It took a lot of guts on my part to not fall apart before hand. A biopsy could not be done because of its makeup and location, they just had to take it out. I came through it with absolutely no brane damage amage amage! [evil]

I do not pray that often, and god knows I wouldn't bother him unless it was really important. As soon as my post is complete I am going to give him a call and have a good talk with him. You have my absolute best wishes and hope you pull through and get back to work already! [Razz] We need you and we miss you! [beer]

Let us know when the surgery is so our prayers can be combined in a group Film-Tech effort.

Rest up and take it easy. You of all people deserve it. Good luck and get better.

Ciao [Frown]

I have been busy and have not logged on to Film Tech for over a week and only learned of John's mild heart attack tonight.

I hope you are well on your way to an excellent and speedy recovery, John

Thank you for all the prayers and good wishes. I meet with my surgeon on Thursday (9/21), but as I said, surgery is not likely until late October or early November, when I can be off the blood thinners that are needed to prevent clotting around the new coronary stent.

For now, it's fun to check in on Film-Tech from home, although I may not be able to participate as actively on all the forums. [Smile]

Hmm... What with Phil talking about strip poker, standing behind John would certainly make for a novel form of treatment! [Big Grin]

I'm standing in whatever is the best place, anyway!

Had an appointment with my surgeon today. Looks like the surgery will be in mid November, after I am off the blood thinners that prevent clotting around the new coronary stent. For now, I need to gain back some of the weight I lost in the hospital, and build up my strength and red blood cells.

You're in my prayers. . .

p.s. does this mean you'll be missing ShowEast this year?

Unfortunately, yes, I will be missing ShowEast. I also have to miss out on attending the AMIA Conference in Anchorage, and the SMPTE Technical Conference and the ISO/TC36 Cinematography Plenary in Los Angeles, all of which are in October. [Frown]

Of course, ShoWest in Las Vegas next March would be a nice goal. [thumbsup]
