(as if you actually needed one! ) Below are two bags of Tortelini from Trader Joe's. The one on the left was purchased about 3 months ago. The one on the right was purchased last week. Same price- - - less pasta. There were literally THOUSANDS of bits of wire scattered all over the street and sidewalks over the entire block. Here are the burns when one of the live lines landed on a resident's front lawn: The damage in this incident was four full spans of three-phase powerlines burned down, one car set on fire when one of the live lines flew across the street and landed on the hood, many trails on the street and sidewalks of melted copper, over 400 homes initially without power as the surge from this incident damaged lines and equipment blocks away, over 100 homes/apts on the burned down spans without power for over 12 hours. The explosions from the initial bird contact and the lines shorting out set off car alarms TWO blocks away. Residents who saw it happen say it was an incredible lightshow. Luck was with the power company and a lot of people..this happened on a Saturday early morning.
