Just found out that we 'probably' won't be able to get Indy on the break. Of course they won't say exactly why but it's got to be because we're not among the highest grossers due to our town's size, or maybe because we're a single screen and wouldn't want to hold past 3 weeks. I wouldn't be so bummed except we've been able to get almost every other blockbuster on the break over the past 4 - 5 years and now the audience expects it. I take comfort in the fact that now we can play Narnia on the break. Are they worried that moviegoers will be confused and miss out on the fact that there's a new film coming? Are they worried that the originals will draw money away from the new one? People would just read as far as "Indiana Jones" on the marquee, think we were playing the new one and be pissed off. They've dispensed with the Children Of Dune music thank goodness, probably as an objection from John Williams I'd hope. It starts off more like the Raiders trailer (the bit where Brody is telling of the secrets of the Ark) and has much more of both Karen Allen and Cate Blanchett. The obligatory action over the theme and some humor as well. The audio quality was like a really bad MP3.
