Get out! The recently-published book is interesting because it covers a 100-year period and attempts to level the playing field by citing an adjusted-for-inflation figure for each film listed. The resulting excellent houses indicate that the film could have been a huge success as a 2D feature. The additional cost of filming in 3D was possibly recovered by the additional ticket charges.
