CP500. The King's Speech. Holds a solid 8 on this reel. Apparently the Weinstein boys decided in their wisdom not to licence a DTS track for this feature.

I guess no-one would have thought it would still be going on so long after release.

I've only ever seen Dolby Digital degrade by about a number over the life of a print. We've had some that have played a looong time and they were tracking 3s and 4s when they left. Anyone who thinks that Dolby Digital gets to the point where it can't be played due to normal running either has a shitty print to begin with, crappy equipment or does not take steps to keep their prints pristine.

Apart from the obvious need to have film paths not damaging the tracks, it can also depend on the stock and as well as how green it is.

I had a print of Passion of the Christ that went from 3's to straight 7's within the 1st week because the prints were all still green. It never went beyond 7's though thanks to FilmGuard but I know many locations here were playing it in SR from day 2 or 3 onwards.

The distributor did not bring DTS discs out for the season of the film. As far as I know, we were the only theatre in the country to play it in DTS after a kind upload of the files for me from somewhere.

As far as this reel on The King's Speech goes, this particular one was always higher than the others on this print...around 6 to 6. with the others being 4's.

Yeah, that is a laugh riot. Cinnamon ring. Never heard that term before. I'll never look at the Cinnabon store in Central Mall the same way again.
