I even like White Chicks mainly because of Terry Crews had probably one of the funniest roles in the last decade and should have been nominated for best supporting actor in my opinion. I even like Charlies Angels and think Sam Rockwell steals the show as a villain. I LOVE CABLE GUY and think it is one of Carrey's best movies. The medieval restaurant and karoake scenes alone make it a classic. I don't care for most of Carrey's comedies in the last 10 years, but I like Ace 2 actually more than Ace 1.  |  IP: Logged John B. Great sound. Great look. Interesting take on an old story. Yet, both times I saw it I was among only a few people in the theater. And whenever the title comes up in conversation, I encounter few people who recall seeing it and even fewer who admit to liking it. A rare Spielberg flop. It started out a bit slow but it had a 70s feel to it with crystal clear photography!Some of it was shot in 70mm but it all looked great to me! I don't really understand the point of your comment. If you're talking about critically, then yes, Roger Ebert had some great things to say about it amongst other critics. Plus, if we trust ratings on imdb as indicating what average, non-reviewers think, the movie is rated quite high there as well. I also have an affinity for films that came out when I first worked in projection. Because I built the films and had to screen them, I'll always have a love for some of them, here's a few: "Gross Anatomy" - the first film I ever built "We're No Angels" - anyone remember this one? "Uncle Buck" - loved the end of the credits "Tango and Cash" - buddy action flick "Black Rain" with Michael Douglas  |  IP: Logged
