My act of labeling you as Internet Cop comes from observing your posting habits. You often do two things here at Film-Tech: you carbon copy stuff from your web page into this forum or point out when others are wrong.
I agree I can be very opinionated, argumentative, be a jerk and even be flat out wrong about some things. That can happen with a lot of people when they get passionate about a certain topic of interest. However, more often than not I participate in discussions here rather than inflaming them.

You're repeating yourself from 10 years ago when we had disagreements on the free for all, unmoderated flame fest known as Usenet. I'll play along anyway. BTW, "stubborn loser?" I didn't know there was anything to win.
When someone points out something I wrote is wrong in this forum I usually let that person's response speak for itself. Obviously you think I should always follow up with a groveling "I'm sorry; I was wrong" post.
The times where others (particularly you, Mike) have drawn my ire, it usually comes down to the motive behind the correction. If the correction is rude or just plain hair-splitting pointless I might respond in a less than nice manner.
Your previous response to me in this thread about when/where Jaws played in Yuma, AZ was an angry, insulting attack, clearly illustrated by your comment: "and, Bobby, don't even give me any of your Internet Cop bullshit."
There are times where it serves no purpose to correct someone. Here in Oklahoma I often listen to people butcher the English language with examples similar to: "We was playing the Iron Man DVD and the machine shut off." If I stop the conversation to correct the person's bad grammar I'll make an even bigger error in bad manners. The other day I listened to a cattle owner tell a friend of mine how much more heart healthy fat-laden beef was than lean beef (as if any of it is "heart healthy"). I just kept my mouth shut. Of course that rule in good manners is a little easier to follow when talking to people face and face. I'm trying harder to follow the same wisdom here.

Mike, this forum doesn't function as a game or sport where anyone is keeping score. To hear you talking about sportsmanship is funny. You recently deleted me from your Facebook friend's list. I'm trying to remember why. It was either the "Internet Cop" thing or me not using the correct verb in describing how the Loews Astor Plaza in NYC was closed in a FB discussion (I used the more emotionally charged term "demolished" rather than the more accurate but far too nice sounding term "remodeled" -the 1500 seat theater was still aborted out of the Mariott Marquis building).
Despite our past run-ins I responded positively to your friend request. I've had heated discussions with a few people in this forum, such as Mark Gulbrandsen (on topics like the HD-DVD versus Blu-ray, RealD being "Real Dumb" or Canon vs. Nikon). Yet I've been enough of a "good sport" to add Mark to my friend's list.

Mike, my comments weren't idiotic. I'm not jealous of you either. Do you think I am trying to compete with you in cataloging information about movies? I'm not. If it's making you happy and even making you money keep on doing it.
