I said you'd convert for "portable devices or something like a playstation 3." At least the main HD radio stations (not sure about the sub-channels) are a mixture of the analog signal with added digital portions. Seems like this could be good at least for getting more stations on the air, but hardware support so far has been pitiful. You have to look really hard to find anything that can actually tune it in. The HD literally stands for nothing whatsoever. I'm definitely a CD guy. Even though I use iTunes (the software) for playback, I love being able to import using a lossless codec, and having the original CD in case the ingested file becomes corrupt. To me, this is the best of both worlds. In all cases when the CD is available and it's also available on iTunes (the music store), I'll order the CD, even though it can take weeks to arrive here (I'm in Australia) and even if it costs double or more.
