Figures record company people would already be whining about those, shows they still need to be taught a few more lessons. Don't know if I mentioned it before, but all the record stores in my area that priced CDs at list are no longer in business! I kind of miss going into Musicland at the mall and being disgusted at their prices  |  IP: Logged Robert E. Yes, and that's pretty sad given that they only have about one aisle of CDs right now, and they carry censored versions of many albums. (You can argue that there's no talent in those type of albums anyways, but if they're going to carry them at all they shouldn't demand that they be censored.) The hypocrisy made me sick. There were times where I badly wanted to paint the communist hammer and sickle symbol or the Red China flag on one of their stores. At least Wal-Mart backed away from that whole stars and stripes image. Wal-Mart doesn't exactly have a great selection of music or movies. They're helping put enough regular music and video stores out of business to drive anyone wanting variety to online outlets like Amazon. The monthly event is held at the Continental Inn just east of and nextdoor to Dutch Wonderland on Route 30 in Lancaster PA. Agreed, but it is pretty tempting for the musicians, producers, distributors, and everyone else to have the newest release on the aisles of your local Wal-Mart superstore. I mean, why make a trip to the record store where as you can pick up the latest cd along with your produce, goods, etc etc. I don't know many people who would pay $5-$10 extra for cd just because it was bought in a record store. I was always amazed that a "movie" store like Blockbuster would charge $36.99 for a blu-ray on opening day of a release while Wal-Mart was charging $24.99 the same day.
