OK, I know its "just a kids' show", but no film deserves to be mishandled, so.....
Whoever last ran print # 2971 of "Shrek", you suck. So do you, Beulah (TES employee clock #27581), who "integrity checked" this print. Shame on you. Or did you sleep through your shift on 8/5/03, when you attached your lables to those nice new film bands? Did you think that would prevent a bench inspection???
The print was scored on the image edges from beginning to end on the non-emulsion side. First reel had no head leader, but rather a bunch of snippets of film spliced together to serve as a leader.
Automation tape was left on, about seven feet into the Dreamworks logo.
All heads and tails were reattached with that wonderful white tape on both sides ( that should be banned from all projection booths)with several other layers of zebra tape underneath.
Last reel didn't even have a tail and ended in the middle of the rating. Automation tape was left on, but hey, I'm not picky.
Interesting that we have run a children's film series this summer with eight titles. All the ETS prints were in very good shape. The dogs came from TES. Their other offering was Antz, and although I did not put that one together, the operator who did told me that one was in bad shape, too.
