MovieTunes played Weird Al? Now I have to think slightly higher of it. I wanted to hate MovieTunes. I can't now. The new Weird Al record is very good.

Yep, the only decent song on the whole disc just HAD to be the one we got a complaint about. Suburbanite housewives really annoy me.

anyone have any customers yell at them for "starting the movie late" and then the customer comes out and finally realizes they forgot to set their watch back cuz of day lights savings or something like that?

i had a guy curse me off and yell at my manager, then finally realize he was wrong. he apologized to my manager, but not me. and my manager pointed that out to him and he finally said sorry for cursing at me.

Hey all, been awhile since I posted on this forum. [Smile] Anyway, the following is not a rant on a Stupid customer. But damn funny none the less.

Night of the Living Dead 3D. We're running it. It's been very "Dead" for us. So anyway I started up the last run of prime evening set and I cruise down to the Box office/Guest services counter just to goof off a bit since I had a break in starts. I'm standing there shooting the breeze(read flirting) with one of the Female box office attendents when this reeeeeally smoking hot chick comes up to the counter looking rather in need of help.
So I say: "Hi, can I help you?" (I'm all grins of course, hot chick, I get all smiles, so sue me). She smiles back and holds up her 3D glasses we give out with each ticket of NotLD-3D and says(I freaking kid you not) "Can I get a replacement set of glasses, mine aren't working."

[Confused] [Confused] [Confused] <-- Me

So as shes holding them up at me I look at them, and I see the print at the top of the glasses. "THIS SIDE TOWARDS FACE." I also notice she has them folded the other way. And without saying a word I put my hands out and take them from her and fold the ear pieces back the other way and turn them around so she can see the text I just read, then I point over the top of the glasses with my index finger at the text.

Her: "OH --- MY --- GOD!!" Her face went so red I thought she was going to faint from embarrasment. The entire time I just held my polite smile and trying my hardest not to bust out laughing. Then she said "Ok I feel really silly right about now." and literally RAN down the hall back to the auditorium.

Alan: was she blond? The few really smart ones don't like it when their blondness comes out. Louis

Alan: Great story.
I had a guy ask me yesterday where the restroom was...He was standing right in front of it next to the sign that says "Mens Room"...

We get people all the time who walk into our single screen theatre and ask "which door" to go through for the movie. This often happens while the movie is playing and can clearly be heard from the lobby and the screen can be seen through the hallways, which are on both sides of the concession stand.

We can always tell out-of-towners because instead of just saying "Two adults" they say "Two for Happy Feet" or whatever! [Big Grin]

Happens on average at least 1-a-day. Othen more. At the Carmikes, it seemed 1/showtime. A person is smart, but people are stupid.

I sell tickets all the time to people who come to the movie that ended last night so it's nice that they say what movie they are hoping to see. What gets me is the ones who just say "two please" and I have to either guess or ask if they are students, adults or whatever.

Yeah, I've only worked at multiplexes, so add to the guessing which movie they want to see. And since we can, and do, presell, add which show time. "Two please" happens here occasionally too. I wonder what they are thinking.

People buying tickets without bothering to check the performance times.
This happens frequently:

Usually it's a couple who come up to box office

Guy: "Two for Casino Royale please"
He get's change and tickets back, spends a few seconds looking at ticket:
"ooh it's on at 8pm, that's lucky we don't have to wait long"

I assumed as the cashier they'd come to buy tickets because they knew it was about to start. Not that they were just chancing that the movie was starting soon. What if it had allready started? What if it wasn't starting for a long time?
I don't understand why you'd do that?

Here's another pet peeve of mine: People (usually guys) who walk up and say "One adult and one child....HAHAHAHA!" when they're actually with another adult. Or they say "Two seniors! HAHAHAHAHAHA!" like it's the funniest thing in the world and they're the first person ever to think of that hilarious joke. I've probably posted this before but it happens at least once a day and is really annoying when we're busy.
