Of recent films, Sweet Home Alabama is definitely one of the worst. Definitely.

I don't know if "Operation Delta Force II: Mayday" ever saw time in a movie theater, but HBO aired this stinking piece of shit just the other night. This has some of the most laughably bad action sequences, terrible acting and terrible writing you could ever see in a would-be military thriller.

To top it all off, the show rips off verbatim a bunch of submarine visual effects directly from "Crimson Tide"!! I mean, we are talking the same actual film clips. This is worse the the TV show "JAG" lifting jet flying shots out of "Top Gun" and "Flight of the Intruder"!

If Dale Dye is all about getting military stuff right, he should be ashamed of himself for participating in this one. Geez.

"The Giant Spider Invasion" has to be one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I saw that one when I was just a kid, and even then I thought it sucked. The only plus in it is you get to see the Skipper (Nate Hale) from "Gilligan's Island" get eaten by a giant spider. Well, actually, I remember it looked more like he was climbing into the giant spider's mouth. Some shots of the giant spider rampaging through town clearly revealed a four wheel vehicle underneath.

Truly bad films happen when otherwise talented people with high aspirations and plenty of budget end up cranking out something dreadfully bad. An example would be John Travolta's Battlefield Earth. Or The Adventures Of Pluto Nash (which I didn't see myself but I take it on faith that the box office numbers accurately reflect the film's badness quotient).

I once saw a trailer for a movie called "Star Crash" or something like that. It was a late 70s Star Wars rip off starring David Hasselhoff. I have a feeling that this might be the worst movie of all time if the trailer should keep its promises.

My worst list:
"She Devil" starring Roseanne
"Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead" starring Christina Applegate
"Dumb & Dumber"
"Blues Brothers 2000" Why the hell did they release this one in 1998 instead of 2000?? Why not call it Blues Brothers '98? Were they in that big of a hurry to watch it bomb? Anyhoo, the only thing I liked about this one was the music (just hit mute between the songs). I loved the original Blues Brothers(1980) with John Belushi.

Just looking at the 1 sheet for "Queerwolf" tells me not to go there.

James, you are confusing "Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead" with "Adventures in Babysitting". Guess it's a good thing I didn't use that quote on the game, eh?

Last time I saw this topic on top I mentioned "Manos: The Hands of Fate" episode of MST3K on DVD. Well, I am happy to say that it is out on DVD and have gotten my hands on it. If you are into torture, watch that movie and you will realize why most of the pricipal cast had commited suicide after release.

i saw manos in a theater and laughed my ass off. haven't seen the
mst3k episode but it seems like it would be a fish-in-the-barrel
type proposition.

bad boy bubby and eyes wide shut are great films! dr. t and the
women may not be altman's best but it's altman.

i can't think of too many movies worse than master of disguise.

Brad, Im pretty sure Elizabeth Shue used that line in Adventures In Babysitting.
A scene in the subway when they run into some gang members or something.

I've seen "Star Crash" with my brother Henrik way back in 1978 I think. It was so bad that we have had a laugh about that ever since. I'd love to see that again. Christopher Plummer and Caroline Munroe was in it. I've got the poster and press sheet somewhere. How many good films can you remember 24 years later?
