I have to say the one movie that just makes me sick is "Mystery on Monster Island" What a piece of . Lets see, a couple more, Saturday Night Fever, Urban Cowboy, Hell just about all Travolta movies except for Pulp Fiction and I liked that because Travolta gets blown away. Oh least we not forget the Joel Shcumacher Masterpiece Batman and Robin. I almost walked out but I paid , so I stayed. The worst movie I ever played was Full Frontal. The "special effects" are as bad as they could possibly get. At the beginning, theres some kind of intergalactic convention (on the moon, I think). It was called All or Nothing. DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN what a piece of shit movie! It is 2 and a half hours of people with no life and no desire to do or talk about anything even remotely interesting live their super-bland lives in front of the camera. I mean literally there was not one redeeming thing about this entire film. I'll say it again, what a piece of shit movie! On a scale of 1 to 10, this would HAVE to somehow register in the negatives. It's three films actually - each part is 3-4 hours long and about the most depressing, relentless cack ever put on film (I had to show the whole lot once in a rep house - 39 reels). For sheer badness Dracula A.D. 1972 and Withnail and I run it a close second, but this one is in a class of its own.  |  IP: Logged Carl Martin Phenomenal Film Handler Posts: 1424 From: Oakland, CA, USA Registered: Feb 2002 posted 11-22-2002 06:10 AM                        daryl, i did mention master of disguise earlier. most terrible films have a funny gag or two, a moment of truth, or at least a scene where the ineptitude of the film makes you chuckle. not master of disguise. i will now raise brad's hackles again. all or nothing was a fabulous movie. probably my favorite mike leigh. i guess it's not your thing, but he has a knack for introducing the most unlikeable cast of characters and then putting them in situations that allow their humanity to become apparent. sort of the opposite of the normal story arc where audience sympathy is built up first and then the characters are put through the machinations of the plot. and his method makes use of a lot of improvisation. it's an example of how there isn't just one legitimate way to make a film. people who watch nothing but mainstream american movies have trouble understanding that. carl  |  IP: Logged Daryl C.
