hey what up!? im originally from columbus, ohio in the states. there i ran a 6, 8, 18, 24 and 30 plex. been in the game for nine years now, two thirds spent in management, the other third in projection. recently relocated to auckland, new zealand where i find myself back in the booth.
i dont know if anyone here in new zealand uses film cleaner either. ive asked what happens when a dirty print is noticed and i get told that ya hold a rag with either wax remover or IPA on it on the print for the whole show. i am trying to convince them it is in their best interest to invest in a film cleaner and film-guard, as all of our prints look quite dirty.
other than that, new zealand is awesome and im really glad that i came down here. sheep rock!
