Simplex PR-1030s are Rock-n-roll by definition. But still...40K for a pair of Simplexes with lamps and pedestals is a bit steap. I suppose that since they are new the price would be in the ball park, if you added it all up.

How do we know that is even the actual movie. You can't even see the names on the reels and just because it has the RR-1 taped on it doesn't mean it is Roger Rabbit.

So did this guy get the print after he got rid of his 35mm projector?

I thought 35mm Features sales on Ebay were now banned and how long this will be pulled by Disney who has a IT Department that monitor Ebay and other sites?

yep, classic nitrate - by the tell-tale black horizontal bars by the sprocket holes which runs to the edge of the film.

Safety, esp IB technicolor prints would have the bars inbetween and in line with the sprocketholes.

For "only" 159bux you can have a cheezy table made from a couple of old Goldberg shipping reels, some PVC pipe & a piece of glass.

The former VP of eastcoast operations for Loews Cineplex used to have one of those tables in his office. I wonder if this is his, maybe the AMC Severance check has run out! [Big Grin]

That table was made from the old Goldberg metal shipping reels. I once saw some tables advertised in Box Office magazine years and years ago advertising similar tables using Goldberg 6000' reels. (One could actually put food on those. The little one pictured looks like it would hold a small plant or similar.)

I have a picnic table made from a Christie AW1 deck and the base is a flange from a Goldberg tower reel... [Smile]

There is a handicapped school in my area. The problem is some students can't reach towards the middle of a table or even across it for what they want to grab from it,so I'm wondering if taking a deck from a Christie AW3 with it's bearing base & a small motor would enable them to have a table that would bring them what they want to grab from it within easy reach.

I had one customer buy a couple of platter disks to create a rotating table to cut up deer and other game from his hunting trips. We had a disk on legs for an outdoor lunch table until recently.
