If you can't play a dvd on your computer and you have the ability to surf the web and search for a solution on ebay. I only have one solution. Follow these instructions: 1. Unplug your computer. 2. Neatly remove your computer from your house. 3. Return it to where you bought it, you do not qua...lify for computer use. If they will not return it donate it to the local Geek. 4. Watch TV with rabbit ears. I had no dvds until I bought my first computer in 2003. That particular HP Pavilion had 2 drives, a CD-RW and a DVD play only drive. Even though they appear to be unused I'd give them a 50-50 chance of working. The power supply caps would need to be re-formed before applying power straight to it! It also denends on how they were stored. If in a cool basement then probably better then a 50% chance one wold work... but if in a hot area then probably not. Just sitting around paper capacitors would go first then the electrolytics would simply dry up. Question: Does anybody know what make of Integrator would have been fitted with new RCA installations in about 1955? I have seen a dual rack multi-channel RCA system from which the integrator has been removed. I dont think that the theatre ever had magnetic sound installed. Any pictures of a similar system would be welcome. I have seen the Fairchild units in Westrex installations here, both rack mounted and in a wall mounted cabinet, and also met a Kalee (B.A.F.) Integrator at one time, although I believe there were several other makes available in the U.S. The space in the R.C.A. rack would be about the right size for a Fairchild.
