Yes John, I wrote you asking how you were doin' in general and in all aspects as well. I was VERY concerned about you since you didn't post in a month. I was sooo happy that you replied and "filled me in."

Anyway, as I asked in my emails, please, PLEASE, ***PLEASE*** keep us all informed on a REGULAR basis as to how you're doin' by posting here!!!!! WE ALL care VERY much about you and are rooting for you!

John, it is great hearing of your progress, brother. No matter how small the steps, it's wonderful news that they're taking you in the right direction. Fight the good fight, my friend and you can see by the many responses here that you have a whole community of people who I would like to believe have the power to heal you by the sheer force of our collective good will, Not to mention the joy you must be feeling with the birth of your new grandson, which is sure to do wonders for your wellness. Cheers all around!

Frank

PS -- that's a lovely picture of you and Betsy....thanks for sharing it with us.

John, having been through this recently with my wife I know that this is tough for you. Keep your positive outlook as best you can and know that your friends are praying for you to get well. You are in our thoughts...

This week, our daughter Katie and her husband Jim visited from Boston, along with our new grandchild, Ben, who was born on January 12. Their visit really brought cheer to the Pytlak home.

Are you going to be in Vegas to accept your award? We (me and my boss) are driving in the night before, and I have been looking forward to seeing you honored. I understand if you can't be there, but I am looking forward to (hopefully) meeting you. If not, know that many of us love and appreciate you, and our thoughts are with you and your family.

Either way, a healthy and happy life to you and yours.

Congratulations on the new arrival John.

How is your treatment going; we haven't heard from you for a while? Hope you are able to give us some good news about it soon.

Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be up to traveling to Las Vegas to receive my award in person at the Tuesday morning breakfast. Kodak sent a crew to my home to film my acceptance speech for the Inter-Society Ken Mason Award, which will be shown at the ShoWest breakfast. More information about the award should be posted soon on the Inter-Society website:

http://www.inter-society.org/

Even on the full liquid diet, I suffer painful cramping and intestinal distress as the food tries to go through the small intestine which is partially blocked by the growing tumors. Next week, my oncologist is starting me on a second type of chemotherapy, this one administered via IV.
