The last session of chemo that I started on April 27 was a really difficult one. Lots of nausea and severe fatigue for over a week. I have a CAT scan to check on progress of the chemo on May 16. Worry is that it is getting more and more difficult to get enough food into me without getting painful intestinal cramping. Even liquid "Boost" and "Ensure" supplements take hours to leave my stomach, so I am limited in how many calories I can get in a day. The chemo may have slowed the tumor growth along my small intestine, but it does not seem to have stopped it.

That is terrible news. Hang in there a little longer and beat this thing. Kodak and the industry needs you back.

You are in our prayers, John. Each succesive chemo cycle gets tougher. I know what you are enduring from my wife's experiences. Hang in there.

I'm so sorry to hear about what you're going through... My grandfather went through the same thing so I have an idea of how hard it is, but you never really know until it happens to you. I'm so sorry. =( Feel better!!!

My CAT scan on May 16 showed at least three areas of blockage along my small intestine. I can barely get enough water through my system to stay hydrated. IV hydration is a short-term option, but hospice is being strongly suggested.

We gave it our best shot with chemo, and further surgery (e.g., ostomy) has been ruled out due to the multiple locations of the tumors.

Depending on how things go over the next few weeks, this may be my last posting.

I've really enjoyed all the friends I've made on Film-Tech, and your wonderful support during my illness. Keep me in your thoughts and prayers.
