The thing is, we knew full well in the '70s that most of the jokes and stereotypes were from a bygone age and wouldn't be acceptable if repeated in real life. That was actually part of the humour. But in today's world, we don't seem to be trusted to work that out. Leo, that sounds like a cool strip. When my mother moved a few years ago, I took a few days off work to help her do it and in the process of clearing out the house, found some old issues of The Beano - which had, for some reason, survived from my childhood - buried in a cupboard.
