(I could have been more clear, I realise now) We still have one very good print of it (unfaded) and that's going nowhere. That's just shy of 101 F, by the way. This was between a double feature at a repertory house, the first feature was Academy, second feature was flat. In between shows, the projectionist came down and manually adjusted the masking, then went up and ran a loop of SMPTE for about 30 seconds to confirm his sizing. Many in the audience were in the lobby or outside, but there were still about 30 or so seated. At first I thought the guy was just being a conscientious pro, then I thought he should have a better idea where the masking stops were so as to avoid having doing this (he clearly nailed it). No one in the audience seemed to mind. So. Meticulous or sloppy?  |  IP: Logged
