Marking it once removed the worry about being wrong. The only thing the designer got right was the general layout. He failed to match the typefaces used on the labor dispute banner (Futura Bold and Futura Extra Bold) opting to stretch the living shit out of Impact instead. Lazy bastard. I got a phone call from someone a few days ago telling me something about advertising. Between the quality of the connection and the speed that the guy on the other end of line was talking, I couldn't really understand what he was trying to tell me. Therefore, I told him to email me whatever it is that he was trying to say and hung up the phone. Never gave it any further thought until just now when his email showed up. This outfit straps signs to birds. Here is part of their description of what they do: "The concept of bird advertising is simple. Imagine a plane pulling a banner advertisement - now imagine this on a smaller scale with birds pulling many smaller advertisements in the city." "All ... birds are fixed with patent-pending harness system technology." Ok, this sounds pretty damn weird. I went to their website and here are a few of the pictures that I found: Look at the size of the signs that they are making those poor little birds drag around! That just seems... cruel. In addition to all of that weight, the signs will get caught in trees and whatever else they are trying to perch on. The photos look like they were taken in India or somewhere like that, but their website shows an address in Vancouver.
