Jim: if you're suffering from film deficiency syndrome at Telluride, we've got an acetate and polyester overdose here at Cinecon!

And there's about the same amount of film again which isn't visible in this pic.
And here's one of them in action - a full-aperture silent print, hence threaded to bypass the optical sound reader altogether. Thanks to the very high RPMs of the Norelco shutter, they're almost flicker-free, even as low as 17 FPS.

Writing on the wall, though: we've got four major festivals this month, of which Cinecon is the first. As it's essentially an archival festival dedicated to showing rare and difficult-to-see movies, almost all of the five-day program is on 35mm: only one feature (Meet Me in St. Louis) and a couple of Chaplin shorts were DCPs. In contrast, there will not be a single foot of film projected in the other three festivals: everything is either DCP, BD or HDCAM.
