Two mobile cinemas on the same street

Britain's last surviving 1960s mobile cinema.

As everyone knows, the "Cinema-In-A-Truck" idea has been around
for decades. Here's one in a POPULAR SCIENCE issue from 1938.

These days, with "slide out" campers being all the rage, a guy could make a pretty nice wide theater in a truck. Could maybe make a 16-foot screen.

"CineTrans-Ultimate" or "CT-Ultimate." If you're into TLAs, "CT-U" for short. (A portmanteau of "Cinema" and "Transport" or "Transportable.")

There has to be a hyphen! [Wink]

The mobile cinema in the second picture I posted is like that, when traveling the trailer is similar in width to the towing trailer.

Video of the Scottish Screen Machine, it expands at about 36 seconds in.

But... why? Why would anyone desire to be in a moving truck as they watch a movie? I mean I guess it would be good for human trafficking to keep the revolts and escape attempts down.

You have to worry about what people call an expert.

I asked in a online chat with SKY broadband the following question.

That should be in the bad Photoshop thread. Every 2004 computer comes with its very own Dwight D Eisenhower. The steering wheel(s) are the shutoff valves.
