Mostly when they've seemed grouchy it's because they're trying to deal with 2 or 3 people at the same time. The ones in Billings, Montana are downright folksy. "How ya doin' today? Just need to check that ID. Chilly out there this morning, isn't it? After leaving home the second time I arrived at my motel and unpacked some things. I found this card (actual size about 8.5 inches by 3.5 inches) inside the case that I'd used to pack a tripod and three small light stands. The good news is that whatever they disturbed was repacked the same way I originally packed it. But I really don't know why they thought a tripod and light stands were suspicious. There's nothing explosive about them and nothing dangerous when they're in checked baggage. All this shows me is that they aren't using any common sense when they decide what to inspect or who to frisk. Relevant news article about piracy and domain seizers One day maybe I'll go to Film-Tech and see a nice, official-looking shut-down notice from the government. Granted, illegal = illegal. But I thought the FBI was supposed to take care of this stuff. Who said that Homeland Security has more power to seize than the FBI?
