They didn't support 6.1 so why do you think they'll support 7.1? I didn't remember seeing it, and I've looked through a month's worth of their Facebook posts, and couldn't find a mention of it. I also looked on the official Marcus web site for any information related to Toy Story 3 in 7.1, and found nothing. Michael, thanks for the list, but the general public is never going to know this information because not many theaters are deciding not to publicize it. From your list, I was able to find one theater publicizing it on their web site (Premiere Oaks Stadium 10). If I were the studios, I'd look at how this been handled when making decisions about supporting (theatrical) 7.1 in the future. Posts: 10973 From: Lawton, OK, USA Registered: Apr 2001 posted 06-17-2010 07:41 PM                     If the audio is really 7.1 channel linear PCM it seems like a d-cinema theater without Dolby-branded gear could change the wiring and/or some equipment to play the 7.1 audio anyway. With the way people are playing fast and loose with branding of digital 3D and large screens it seems like any number of equipment manufacturers, movie distributors or theater chains could apply their brand name in front of "7.1" and run with it. Honestly, the Dolby branding of this 7.1 stuff doesn't make any sense. It's LPCM 7.1, not Dolby 7.1. BTW, Warren Theaters does have "Dolby Surround 7.1" stuff posted on its web site relating to Toy Story 3 shows.  |  IP: Logged Steve Guttag We forgot the crackers Gromit!!! One merely connects channels 11/12 up to their BSl/BSr channels. So long as your processor knows how to go between 5.1, EX, 7.1...any processor will work. The sound design is exemplory. On the huge XD screen the image was massive and down right impressive.
