Emma and Bill,
Our building branches off of a mall and so the owners have to pay "rent" (i guess that's what it would be called on this scale) to a couple of rich farmers that live about 50 miles away. Because these Farmers are popular in their town, all the people from that town think they own the movie theatre, and they act as such. This lady in particular was a good freind to the owners of the building and knew where the booth was.
Steve, you are absolutly right, and as compensation, i personally made sure she received free passes for her and her entire family. I guess what really amazed me is that even with a "staff only" sign on the door leading to the booth, she still had the audacity to just walk up here and think she could tell me what to do. I hate it when people, especially people who don't know how things work, and I'm serving them, think they can tell me what to do.

I once had a circuit breaker go in the middle of a show, which I quickly found the cause of, reset, and restarted the show....... I'm at the projector when next thing I know there's this hulking big bloke standing behind me... yelling at me to rewind the film because he'd missed several minutes of it. When I told him that simply was not possible, he replied by telling me he'd just seen the film at another cinema last week and that I didn't know what I was talking about. Anyhow, seeing as he was at least 2 to 3 times my size, I kindly asked him to leave my booth and observe the 'STAFF ONLY' signs next time...... Now, although this bloke was a little too big for me to take on , I was later glad that I hadn't given him a verbal serve........ Months later, he was in the news for having hijacked a 4WD of tourists at gun-point in the Northen Territory..... Shot-gun-point that is!!! ...... and also tied another female tourist and her daughter to a tree!!! I was then very glad I had held my tongue!
The most common stupid comment I get though, is from people telling me the curtains didn't open like they are supposed to after the trailers...... when it's a FLAT FILM!!!! Have you ever tried to explain this to a customer???

Brandon,
Kinda off subject, but then again, it's not. My last job I was a cart pusher for walmart in the same town as the theatre I'm working at now is. No one could call me by my name, even though I, like everyone else, wore a name tag. It was always "HEY!", or "You in the blue vest!". Normally it was HEY, and after about a year of this, I got fed up with it. I had been having a bad day anyway, and one fairly young guy tried to get my attention and he yelled hey at me. I ignored him, but he kept on doing it, so about the third time, i turned around and said "hay's for horses, cows eat grass, now get on you knees and kiss my ass" My manager was behind me when I said it, and he quickly apologized to the customer and then pulled me aside. He told me to not do that again, but he want's to on some days also.
