We take great pride in some of the $#@& comments we get over the phone, like one customer who called:
Manager: Thank you for calling the Zedex Theatre, how may I help you? Customer: Yes, can you tell me the phone number to your theatre? Manager: Ummmm, its the same as the number you must dialed... Customer: Yes, but I'm not sure if it's 8848, or 8488. Manager: Groan!!!
The other emmy award went to:
Manager: Thank you for calling the Zedex Theatre, how may I help you? Customer: Is this the answering machine? Manager: Yes, I am the new Intuitive Answering Service, I operated on an advanced aritificial intellegence program that allows me to answer callers questions. How may I help you? Customer: Can you tell me how to reach the theatre staff? Manager: <what do you say??>

The best one I ever had went as follows...
Customer "How many screens do you have?" Me "4"
Customer "So how many movie can you show at one time?" Me "4"
Customer "Are these the movies you are showing, the ones listed on your marquee?" Me "yes"
Customer "Do you have any other screens showing movies, other than the ones you have listed?" Me "no"
Customer "Do you have the sequel to that star wars movie?" (note: this was just a week after the PHANTOM MENACE opened) Me "You mean Phantom Menace?"
Customer "Yeah, do you have the sequel to that, cuz I don't see it up here on your marquee" Me "You want the sequel to The PHANTOM MENACE?"
Customer "yeah, do you have that yet?" Me "It hasn't even been made yet"
Customer "are you sure, cuz I read in the paper that it was out" Me "You probably are talking about PHantom Menace, it is the prequel to the star wars movies"
Customer "whats a prequel" Me "it takes place before a story, instead of a sequel that takes place after a seqeul"
Customer "yeah, thats the one, I want the sequel to phantom menace" Me "I am pretty sure it hasn't even been made yet"
Customer "I think youre wrong, cuz I saw it when I was a kid, the one where that little kid grows up and gets mean" Me "do you mean Star Wars?"
Customer "I don't remember what its called, but that sounds right. Do you have it?" Me "YOu can buy it at media play or rent it from blockbuster"
Customer "YOu mean its already on video?' Me "Last I checked, yes. In fact I have a copy of it at home."
Custmoer "Can you go get it and put it in? I love movies on the big screen." Me "actually we use film, not video projectors"
Customer "you still use film, I thought everything went to video" Me "that was just porn movies, regular ones still use film"
Customer "well I guess if you can't show it to me, I guess I will try somewhere eles. Can you tell me a theater that might have it?" Me "Try Cinemark next door, they have more screens than us, so maybe they can try it"
Customer "thank you, you were very helpful" Me "well, I do try".
Ok, she did try next door and the cinemark and they were a little more short with her. After that, I don't know if she ever got to see her movie or not.
Ciao
