Sometimes in life you find a special friend Someone who changes your life just by being part of it.
Someone who makes you laugh until you can't stop Someone who makes you believe that there really is good in the world. Someone who convinces you that there really is an unlocked door just waiting for you to open it. This is Forever Friendship.
When you're down, and the world seems dark and empty, Your forever friend lifts you up in spirit and makes that dark and empty world suddenly seem bright and full.
Your forever friend gets you through the hard times, the sad times, and the confused times. If you turn and walk away, your forever friend follows. If you lose your way, your forever friend guides you and cheers you on.
Your forever friend holds your hand and tells you that everything is going to be okay. And if you find such a friend, you feel happy and complete, because you need not worry. You have a forever friend for life, and forever has no end.

"We Are What We Eat," said a wise old man! Lord, if that's true, I'm a garbage can.
To rise on Judgment Day, it's plain! With my present weight, I'll need a crane. So grant me strength, that I may not fall into the clutches of cholesterol.
May my flesh with carrot-curls be dated, that my soul may be poly unsaturated. And show me the light, that I may bear witness to the President's Council on Physical Fitness.
And at oleo margarine I'll never mutter, for the road to Hell is spread with butter. And cream is cursed; and cake is awful; and Satan is hiding in every waffle.
Mephistopheles lurks in provolone; the Devil is in each slice of baloney, Beelzebub is a chocolate drop, and Lucifer is a lollipop.
Give me this day my daily slice Cut it thin and toast it twice. I beg upon my dimpled knees, deliver me from jujube's.
And when my days of trial are done, and my war with malted milk is won, Let me stand with Heavenly throng, In a shining robe -- size 30 long.
I can do it Lord, if you'll show to me, the virtues of lettuce and celery. Teach me the evil of mayonnaise, And of pasta a la Milanese and crisp-fried chicken from the South. Lord, if you love me, shut my mouth.
Anon.

BODY PIERCING HAIKUS
Ears, brows, and nose pierced, Tongue, lip, chin, nipples done, too-- Human pin cushion
Woke up with a ring In navel, nose, and nipples. Too much tequila.
When you're in airports, Metal detectors go off-- Is it worth it, dude?

True Love
I was all alone, before we met, as each day passes, the happier I get. You and I, it's a sure bet, I fell in love, with the inner net.
I am yours, and you are mine, when together, I forget to dine. When you're down, I sit and pine, I'm only alive, when I'm on line.
We travel places, across land and sea, always together, just you and me. To you I'm tied, I'm no longer free, my one true love, you'll always be.
When I die, and I'm buried deep, for that long, and dreaded sleep. From my grave, they'll hear an eerie beep, for there with me, my computer I'll keep.

WHAT MAKES A DAD:
God took the strength of a mountain, The majesty of a tree, The warmth of a summer sun, The calm of a quiet sea, The generous soul of nature, The comforting arm of night, The wisdom of the ages, The power of the eagle's flight, The joy of a morning in spring, The faith of a mustard seed, The patience of eternity, The depth of a family need, Then God combined these qualities, When there was nothing more to add, He knew His masterpiece was complete, And so, He called it ... Dad

POEM
I cross ocean, poor and broke, Take bus, see employment folk.
Nice man treat me good in there, Say I need to see welfare.
Welfare say, "You come no more, We send cash right to your door."
Welfare checks, they make you wealthy, Medicaid it keep you healthy!
By and by, I got plenty money, Thanks to you, American dummy.
Write to friends in motherland, Tell them 'come fast as you can.'
They come in turbans and Ford trucks, I buy big house with welfare bucks.
They come here, we live together, More welfare checks, it gets better!
Fourteen families, they moving in, But neighbor's patience wearing thin.
Finally, white guy moves away, Now I buy his house, and then I say,
"Find more aliens for house to rent." And in the yard I put a tent.
Send for family they just trash, But they, too, draw the welfare cash!
Everything is very good, And soon we own the neighborhood.
We have hobby -- it's called breeding, Welfare pay for baby feeding.
Kids need dentist? Wife need pills? We get free! We got no bills!
American crazy! He pay all year, To keep welfare running here.
We think America darn good place! Too darn good for the white man race.
If they no like us, they can scram, Got lots of room in Pakistan.
AMERICAN TAXPAYER

Freedom Isn't Free
I watched the flag pass by one day, It fluttered in the breeze. A young Marine saluted it, And then he stood at ease.
I looked at him in uniform So young, so tall, so proud, With hair cut square and eyes alert He'd stand out in any crowd.
I thought how many men like him Had fallen through the years. How many died on foreign soil How many mothers' tears?
How many pilots' planes shot down? How many died at sea How many foxholes were soldiers' graves? No, freedom isn't free.
I heard the sound of Taps one night, When everything was still, I listened to the bugler play And felt a sudden chill.
I wondered just how many times That Taps had meant "Amen," When a flag had draped a coffin. Of a brother or a friend.
I thought of all the children, Of the mothers and the wives, Of fathers, sons and husbands With interrupted lives.
I thought about a graveyard At the bottom of the sea Of unmarked graves in Arlington. No, freedom isn't free.
