Rated G Frank "In Lands Afar"
P.O.W. short for, prisoner of war, people imprisoned, in lands afar. Remembering home, they sit and cry, suffering terrible tortures, they pray to die. M.I.A. missing in action, let the records show, dead or alive, no one seems to knows. They've just disappeared, in the middle of war, somewhere hidden, in lands afar. K.I.A. killed in action, freedoms highest cost, so millions are free, thousands are lost. Fighting and dying, in another war, their lifes blood shed, in lands afar. No greater gift, can a person give, than his life, so others may live. Abbreviations, associated with war, They've paid a high price, in lands afar.

Rated G Becky "Where...?"
*** There was a little boy, On the week's first day, Coming home from Sunday School And wandering on the way. He scuffed his shoes into the grass And found a caterpillar. He found a fluffy milkweed pod And blew out all the filler. A bird's nest in a tree above, So wisely placed on high, Was just another wonder That caught his eager eye. A neighbor watched his crooked course And hailed him from the lawn. He asked him where he'd been that day And what was going on. "I've been to Sunday School," he said As he turned a piece of sod, And picking up a worm, he smiled, "I've learned a lot from God!" "That's a fine way," the neighbor said, "For a boy to spend his time. Now if you can tell me where God is, I'll give you a brand new dime." Quick as a flash the answer came, The boy said without complaint, "I'll give you a dollar, Mister, If you can tell me where God ain't!!"

Rated G AMORE When the moon hits your eye, Like a big pizza pie, That's amore. When an eel bites your hand, And that's not what you planned, That's a moray. When our habits are strange, And our customs deranged, That's our mores. When your horse munches straw, And the bales total four, That's some more hay. When Othello's poor wife, Becomes stabbed with a knife, That's a Moor, eh? When a Japanese knight, Uses his sword in a fight, That's Samurai. When your sheep go to graze, In a damp marshy place, That's a moor, eh? When your boat comes home fine, And you tie up her line, That's a moor, eh? When you ace your last tests, Like you did all the rest, That's some more "A"s! When on Mt. Cook you see, An aborigine, That's a Maori. Alley Oop's homeland has, A space gun with pizzazz, That's a Moon ray... A comedian ham, With the name Amsterdam, That's a Morey. When your chocolate graham, Is so full and so crammed, That s'more, eh. When you've had quite enough, Of this dumb rhyming stuff, That's "No more!", eh?

"The Boob Poem"
For years and years they told me, Be careful of your breasts. Don't ever squeeze or bruise them, And give them monthly tests.
So I heeded all their warnings, And protected them by law. Guarded them very carefully, And I always wore my bra.
After 30 years of astute care, My gyno, Dr. Pruitt, Said I should get a Mammogram. "Ok," I said, "let's do it."
"Stand up here real close," she said. (She got my boob in line.) "And tell me when it hurts," she said. "Ah yes! Right there, that's fine."
She stepped upon a pedal, I could not believe my eyes! A plastic plate came slamming down, My hooter's in a vise!
My skin was stretched and mangled, From underneath my chin. My poor boob was being squashed, To Swedish Pancake thin.
Excruciating pain I felt, Within its vice-like grip. A prisoner in this vicious thing, My poor defenseless tit!
"Take a deap breath." she said to me. Who does she think she's kidding?!? My chest is mashed in her machine, And woozy I am getting.
"There, that's good," I heard her say, (The room was slowly swaying.) "Now, let's have a go at the other one." Have mercy, I was praying.
It squeezed me from both up and down, It squeezed me from both sides. I'll bet SHE'S never had this done To HER tender little hide.
Next time that they make me do this, I will request a blindfold. I have no wish to see again My knockers get steamrolled.
If I had no problem when I came in, I surely have one now. If there had been a cyst in there, It would have gone "ker-pow!"
This machine was created by a man, Of this, I have no doubt. I'd like to stick his balls in there, And see how THEY come out!

A Kiss Goodnight
I count it as a privilege, I count it cause for praise to kiss my children goodnight at the close of everyday. For I know too soon they're up and gone, and walking out the door and I'll never have a child to kiss goodnight any more.
It's very strange how times have changed from the present to the past. When did they grow so quickly the time has flown so fast. For it seems like only yesterday I helped him with his shirt, or pat my baby on the back, or kissed away a hurt. Tell a story, read a book, wipe a nose, or tie a shoe.
They never ask me to rub their backs the way they used to do. Once it was a bother, just a troublesome kind of chore. but now I would give anything to do it just once more.
Mommy, bounce me on your knee, daddy, flip me in the air. Throw a rubber ball to me and help me comb my hair. Mommy, tickle my tummy... Daddy hold me high. lets go outside, for a while, or make a kite to fly...
I count it as a privilege I count it cause for praise to kiss my children goodnight at the close of everyday.
For I know too soon they're up and gone and walking out the door and I'll never have a child to kiss goodnight anymore!

Night Before Christmas
Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house.
Not a creature was stirring, except for my mouse.
No kids lived with me, so I thought I would chatter.
There'd be no damn reindeer, and so stupid clatter.
There'd be no fat elf, coming through my chimney.
I'll be alone, my computer and me.
I won't race to the window, to see him arrive.
I'll just sit right here...with windows ninety-five.
There's no one I know, as I'm surfing around.
None of my regular buddies are found.
I went in some chat rooms, but quickly got out.
Age, sex, location is all that's about.
As, I was about to go check out the net.
I got an E-mail which I didn't expect.
A lady told me, she had read my profile.
And, ask, if I might like to chat for a while.
She said, if I didn't, then she would just leave.
But, she was so lonely, on this Christmas Eve.
She said, it's the first time, she'd ever been on.
But, she heard, computers, could be so much fun.
She said, the computer, was usually locked tight.
But, she said, her husband, left it on... tonight.
He's away on some business; He'll be gone all night.
So, she thought she'd use it, " I guess it's all right."
She started to tell me, about her whole life.
How she was expected to be a good wife.
She talked of her anger, frustrations, and needs.
Because she was forced, to do such silly deeds.
She talked on and on, from one thing to the next.
Then finally told me.....she was oversexed.
She didn't have sex, with her husband, she told.
He was always too busy, and getting too old.
Then, she wrote me something, that made my heart vex.
She asked me to teach her , to have cyber-sex.
I said, if she wanted me to, that I could.
Then after an hour, she got really good.
After five hours, my fingers were sore.
I told her, that I couldn't go anymore.
She said, that was fine, because she was tired too.
And anyway, her husband, soon would be due.
She said she would be on, the same time next year.
Then asked, if I wouldn't mind, meeting her here.
She said only...on this night, she could be found
It is only...this night, her husband leaves town.
She said bye, and signed off...and i had to pause.
I think I just cybered . . . . . . with Mrs. Santa Claus ! ! ! !

IF TOMORROW NEVER COMES If I knew it would be the last time that I'd see you fall asleep, I would tuck you in more tightly and pray the Lord, your soul to keep.
If I knew it would be the last time that I see you walk out the door, I would give you a hug and kiss and call you back for one more.
If I knew it would be the last time I'd hear your voice lifted up in praise, I would video tape each action and word, so I could play them back day after day.
If I knew it would be the last time, I could spare an extra minute or two to stop and say "I love you," instead of assuming, you would know I do.
If I knew it would be the last time I would be there to share your day, well I'm sure you'll have so many more, so I can let just this one slip away.
For surely there's always tomorrow to make up for an oversight, and we always get a second chance to make everything right.
There will always be another day to say our "I love you's", And certainly there's another chance to say our "Anything I can do's?"
But just in case I might be wrong, and today is all I get, I'd like to say how much I love you and I hope we never forget,
Tomorrow is not promised to anyone, young or old alike, And today may be the last chance you get to hold your loved one tight.
So if you're waiting for tomorrow, why not do it today? For if tomorrow never comes, you'll surely regret the day,
That you didn't take that extra time for a smile, a hug, or a kiss and you were too busy to grant someone, what turned out to be their one last wish.
So hold your loved ones close today, whisper in their ear, Tell them how much you love them and that you'll always hold them dear,
Take time to say "I'm sorry," "please forgive me," "thank you" or "it's okay". And if tomorrow never comes, you'll have no regrets about today.

God's Camera
A little girl walked daily to and from school. Though the weather one morning was questionable and clouds were forming, she made her daily trek to the elementary school.
As the day progressed, the winds whipped up, along with thunder and lightning. The mother of the little girl was worried that her daughter would be frightened as she walked home from school, and she herself feared that the electrical storm might harm her child. Following the roar of the thunder, lightning would cut through the sky like a flaming sword.
Being concerned, the mother got into her car and drove along the route to her child's school. Soon she saw her daughter walking along, but at each flash of lightning, the child would stop, look and smile. One followed another, each with the little girl stopping, looking at the streak of light and smiling.
Finally, the mother called her over to the car and asked, "What are you doing?"
The child answered, "God keeps taking pictures of me!"

TODAY HAS PASSED
Whatever it held of good or evil is now woven into the inevitable pattern of life. I cannot recall one unkind word, nor retrace one foolish step.
The tapestry is woven. I might look at the pattern and regret the threads of selfishness, the ravelings of hate, but I cannot remove them, for they are now a lasting part that holds together the weavings of today.
I may search for a thread of human kindness, may look for a touch of love and beauty to give color to my drab design, but if I did not weave them in my gleanings of today, I cannot add them. Today has passed.
But if tomorrow comes, it will offer me a clean and empty loom, and fresh strands of hope and faith. Perhaps then I can weave a lovelier pattern, with less of the gray of care and the purple of pain, and more of the gold of truth, and the blue of trust, and the shimmering white of faith and purity.
Perchance I can throw open my mental blinds so that there may be reflected upon my loom more of the sunshine of cheer and the hope of optimism. Perchance I can focus upon the beautiful instead of the ugly. I will not be mortgaged to the past. Today is no more.

God Has
God has a sense of humor, you'll have to agree, look at the platypus, a funny sight to see. The giraffe, with a long neck it can't bend, and an elephant, with a tail at both ends.
God has a sense of beauty, let it be known, the trees and flowers, He has grown. A golden moon, in darkest night, a flock of geese, in graceful flight.
God has a sense of love, just look around, a man and woman, when true love they found. A baby nursing, at it's mother's breast, a sleeping child, when they lie at rest.
God has a sense of justice, so it's told, in the Holy Book, from days of old. Live by the golden rules, in Heaven you'll stay, but if you ignore them, then it's Hell to pay.
God has a sense of cruelty, also written in the Book, The great flood, the Red Sea, many lives He took. I'm just trying to warn, I'm not out to offend, look at this world, how soon before He does it again.
