So now water damage is in the mint condition category?! And it's only $425 too! He installed a rebuilt DP-70 in it's place. I also had to do many other mods to the DP-70 for him. Seriously... the U-2 projector weighs considerably more then a DP-70 does... It's much more difficult to lif tjust the head because it's smaller and you can't get enough people around it. An overhead crane or engine hoist is absolutely necessary!!! Nasty projector to move... It was made to fly from the trusses in the arena and had a Xenon lamp house with power supply in the second frame. The projector was completely remote controlled from the ground and operated very well. The film was projected on a white rubber screen made of 6 inch wide strips fastened at the top and bottom. The film showed cartoon characters moving about just as they came to the front at the bottom of the screen and a live skater popped out from the screen and the cartoon image disappeared. Very cool effect. That rig is worth maybe $3,000 in all. I can't comment on the worth of the gear as the market is pretty quirky right now adn I am not in it.
