One of many examples: Managers wanting the bright cleaning lights cranked up while the credits are still on screen, because they have no clue how to make a show schedule or how to staff a theatre. And it's just as bad when they request the cleaning lights be left on until the next show starts. Of course one of my managers wanted me to edit the Matrix so the trailer at the very end would play before the credits and they could shoo the patrons out sooner. I say thank you to somebody on an email and they never respond back. 2: people who do not respond to emails when they are clearly reading their emails. 3: Rude conversations on Cellphones or no exchange of pleasantries. You'd probably be pretty disenchanted with me: 1. I send many "thank you" e-mails, but rarely send a "You're Welcome" e-mail unless there is more to say.... at least I don't think I do. Maybe I do as a reflex action. Not sure. 2. Well I pretty much respond to everything so no points lost here. 3. I don't lose any points here either. 4. I AM better than everyone. No crowds. Just me. 5. No points lost here. 6. Silica is a crystaline substance that CONTAINS silicon. Silicone is rubber-like inorganic polymer made from silicon. Silicon is element number 14 in the Periodic Table. It is an ingredient in silica and silicone. ANY bathroom... is and always SHOULD be, "Look before you leap!" Virtually all men follow this doctrine. Anybody, man or woman, who doesn't is just begging to get a wet ass some day! He who forgets to look before leaping, who gets a wet ass and then complains about it deserves nothing more than pointed fingers and uproarious laughter. (After all, it IS funny!) Do you really want to drive the point home? No matter what you use the cammode for, ALWAYS put the seat down and close the lid when finished. Not only is it the polite (and sanitary) thing to do it will force the next user to mind the position of the seat before taking up residence. Again, it shouldn't make a difference to a man. When standing up to pee, the seat and lid should be raised. What's the difference, right? When sitting, one only needs to raise the lid. If the position of the seat can be imagined to be in a random state, it will need to be toggled from one to the other about 50% of the time, no? The necessity to visually verify its position still exists. No extra effort is needed when you think about it. Ol' Sumner's cronies changed it to "The National Network", expecting it to be a hipper version of USA. After only a few months, they found it wasn't working and decided yet again to change its positioning. They changed the name to "Spike", but Spike Lee had a hissy-fit, since he is the only one on the planet who can use that name, and he has it in litigation. As a temporary measure, they're now referring to themselves as "The First Network For Men". Personally, I can't stand the Pamela Anderson or Kelsey Grammer cartoons. As far as I'm concerned, real men watch WESTERNS! A similar change in target demographics recently happened with American Movie Classics, and I'll bet they're feeling the repercussions of that, given the innane promos they are running; trying to find an audience.  |  IP: Logged William T. Parr Jedi Master Film Handler Posts: 823 From: Cedar Park, TX Registered: Nov 2000 posted 07-29-2003 03:04 PM                     OK Here is my list of things that piss me off. 1) Stupid People that think everything should center around them. 2) People who come to a movie theatre and act up then when tey are asked to leave start screaming racism as our motive for removing them. 3) Assholes that thing just because there in the fast lane of a freeway that means they can drive more than the speed limit. I hate these dumb fucks when I am already driving 7 miles an hour over the speed limit adnd they want to ride my bumper to force me to pull into a slower lane Fuck Them go around. 4) Telemarkets who after the 5th time you have told them no are still tryingto sell you there product. 5) Any theatre that turns their sound down to the point there is very little Sub effect, or surround info heard just because one of the folks that thinks there in an oversized living room watching a Giant Sized TV went out and complained that it was too loud for them. well Guess what folks We have ALD's help yourself to one or a refund. For Example Regal Metropolitan 14 here in Austin. all sound Systems were set between 4 and 5. I kid you not and I saw this with my own two eyes. Now do not get me wrong ther have been several movies this past year that in my oipinion were mixed too damn loud to start with and I did have to adjust volume accordingly, but for 14 scrrens to be turned down that far.  |  IP: Logged
