Author Topic: RIP John Pytlak (was titled "John Pytlak recovering well from a mild heart attack") Leo Enticknap Film God Posts: 7474 From: Loma Linda, CA Registered: Jul 2000 posted 08-18-2007 08:40 AM                        The only thing I can add to John Walsh's words is that I have never known anyone else who responded so positively and so inspiringly to such a huge challenge as John's illness. The fact that he felt able to take the time and make what must have been a major effort to keep logging on here - not only to post on this thread, but also to offer and advice and responses of the sort he used to do before he became ill - almost until the last minute, is something I'll never forget. Sharing the experience with us and agreeing to be featured in his local newspaper will also help to take away a lot of the fear and anxiety that other cancer patients are likely to experience in the days and weeks after they're first diagnosed, and was an incredibly brave thing to do. Over the years I saw John always respond with kindness and dignity. This he showed even until his final moments. He has left us all with an example to follow. I thought it was cool that a guy who worked for Kodak signed up on Film-tech and helped us out with all of our questions and problems. He will be missed. He helped me understand the film business better. John, say "hi" to George Eastman for me.
